An Introduction to pools by design Servicing
Your pool, spa & wellness equipment all need to be regularly and professionally maintained to ensure they are operating efficiently and can provide you with many years of enjoyment. We run a dedicated service division to support our completed pool projects or assist new clients with an already established facility.
Our Field Engineers have extensive experience and knowledge; the team are members of ISPE (Institute of Swimming Pool Engineers), Pool Plant Operator qualified and regularly attend manufacturer specific training alongside important Health & Safety courses such as ‘working in confined spaces’.
Together with our Head Office team we are well placed to handle all proactive maintenance and reactive issues for residential or semi-commercial properties . We are located in Surrey and predominantly cover London and the South/South East. We’d be delighted to meet you on site to fully understand your requirements and develop a bespoke servicing plan.
In addition, we’re able to provide full survey reports, deliver refurbishment programmes or, through our construction arm, design and build you a new dream pool.
Pool/Spa Servicing & Maintenance
Regular pool/spa servicing and maintenance involves looking after the pool plant equipment as well as the fabric of the pool and spa. We will create a servicing plan which reflects your individual set up, bather numbers and frequency of use. Typically service plans are based on weekly, fortnightly or monthly visits however we can adapt to individual circumstances including periods when a property might be vacant or where clients just want ad hoc help – such as opening or closing an outdoor pool or completing health checks. We are also happy to give you guidance on how to look after your pool in between our visits.
During a regular service visit we will assess the water chemistry to ensure it is correct and safe for use, check the performance of the plant equipment, brush and vacuum the pool and as necessary clean pool covers. We are suppliers of all pool chemicals and consumables as well as maintenance equipment.
Whilst regular maintenance should ensure any issues are identified and resolved before they escalate, we can also respond quickly to emergency situations – helping clients both over the phone or in person as the situation requires.
Our Service Engineers will always visit in liveried vehicles, wear pools by design uniform, be able to produce their ID on request and are DBS checked.
Looking after Specialist Equipment
Your pool plant is made up of specialist equipment – for example, filters, pumps, UVs, Air Handling Units – and whilst it’s important they are maintained to operate well individually, each piece plays an important part in the optimal working of the pool system overall. Filters are a good example, if the media is not changed in line with manufacturer’s guidelines pool water is not filtered effectively and water becomes dirtier. We can also maintain wellness equipment – typically sauna and steam rooms – always using specialist Engineers to service and/or repair.
We will recommend what items should be included in your maintenance plan, always pricing them separately so our costs are transparent and straightforward to understand.
Independent Surveys
If you’ve moved house and inherited a pool, are considering purchasing a property with a pool or are looking to recommission a pool, we offer a full survey service evaluating each piece of pool and plant equipment together with the pool infrastructure and finishes. Where required we can complete leak detection investigations. We’ll compile a comprehensive report and include full details of any recommended works.
Pool Refurbishment
We are a leading swimming pool design and construction company and with nearly 15 years experience so we are well placed to assist our service and maintenance clients with small or large pool refurbishment works. The types of works we regularly undertake are:
- Adding or replacing pool covers which reduce energy consumption
- Replacing pool lights, especially utilising LED
- Upgrading heating including renewables, eg ASHPs
- Repairing or renewing pool finishes
- Installing latest pool plant technology eg UV and ozone systems to improve water clarity and significantly reduce chemicals or variable speed pumps to reduce running costs
- Integrating with home automation.
